Animations in Gmax

In this tutorial, we'll go through how to do simple animations, rotational animations, size animations.

1. In order to start animating, click the 'Animate' at the bottom of the screen. The time line and the active viewport turn red, indicating that you are currently animating.

2. Move the scroll bar just above the timeline to frame 50. Click the Select and Move button at the top and move your object. A marker appears on frame 50 to show that you have a keyframe at that spot.

3. If you press play in movie controls , the movie will play. You will see your mace start at its starting position in frame 1 and end in its ending position by frame 50.

4. To do the same thing with rotational animations, move to another keyframe and use the Select and Rotate button to rotate the object along any axis. When you press play you'll see your move animation and your rotation animation play at the same time, starting at frame 1 and ending on the frame you designated.
