CHV 2O MDG Assignment Spring 2010

TASK: In this assignment you will look at one MDG more closely. You will create a product which will inform and persuade the audience to meet the goal by 2015.

PROCESS:
1. Choose an MDG and let your teacher know your choice as soon as you can. Read over the rubric for this assignment.
2. You will conduct research about the MDG. It is important to understand the MDG, what has been done so far and what needs to be done in order to meet the goal by 2015.
3. Identify your audience. Is your product intended to persuade a Canadian audience or an audience in a developing country? Are you targeting an adult audience or an audience of your peers?
4. Write a one-page (double-spaced) statement of intent that clearly identifies the choices you have made and the reasons for those choices.
5. Create your product; you may create a poster, short video (60 – 90 seconds), comic, play, news report or an option of your choice (pre-approved at least three weeks prior to due date). Be creative and have fun with this!
