Trips & Excursions (**)

The following itinerary provides extensive field-based learning for students in the Environmental Leadership (EL) Program across the students' grade 11 and 12 years.

Grade 11: Sept-Nov. EL Introductory Field Camp
    PAD 3O: Barren River Canoe Trip, Algonquin Park, ON
    PAD 3O: Hiking, Adirondack Park, NY
  Nov.-March EL Winter Field Camp
  March-June PAD 3O: Swift-Water Canoeing, Palmers' Rapids, ON
    EL Field Excursion: Huntsman Marine Biology Centre (*)
     

The cost associated with enrolment in the PAD 3O Outdoor Education trips is $240 annually. An initial estimate of the costs associated with the additional ELP Field Camps and Excursion to Huntsman Marine Biology Centre is $1500.

    IDP 4U / IDP 4O: Forest Biome Study
  Nov.-March EL Winter Field Camp
  March-June IDP 4U / IDP 4O: Aquatic Biome Study
    EL Field Excursion: Costa Rica (through Canada World Youth) (*)
     

An initial estimate of the costs associated with the additional EL Field Camps and Excursion to Costa Rica is $3500.


(*) Excursions to Hunstman Marine Biology and Costa Rica through Canada World Youth will be offered once every two years, thereby allowing each student in the Environmental Leadership Program the chance to take part in both excursions across their grade 11 or grade 12 year.

(**) This represents a tenative itinerary. Field studies, field camps, and larger excursions are subject to change given circumstances, enrolment, and curriculum opportunities.
