Design and Investigate the Efficiency of a Transformer

• electrical safety
• this investigation is to be completed individually.

Lab Part 1

• materials
  • 2 pcs copper magnet wire length approximately 1 m each - these wires are the parts allowed to conduct electricity in the transformer itself
  • resistor (1 kOhm)
  • hook up wire etc.
  • Any other reusable or recyclable material
• equipment
  • safe ac supply (must be isolated and less that 40vac)
  • oscilloscope
  • multimeter(s)
• Design an lab to investigate the efficiency of a transformer which will drives a 1K ohm load.
  • in a safe manner, no electrical potential should exceed 40 VAC
  • using the given materials and equipment
