Accelerometer

• A simple accelerometer can be created by putting a plumb bob (pendulum) on an accelerating object.
• Acceleration can be calculated using the measurement of the angle of the plum bob string and completing a FBD analysis of the bob.
• A digital camera can record the angle of the string during the acceleration of the system lab.
• The acceleration can be compared to accelerations using other methods (ticker tape timer, system calculations)
