INDICATORS

Level 1

• Critical safety rules are earnestly adhered to.

Level 2

• has respect for the fragile nature of equipment and acts accordingly

Level 3

• It is important to note that if there is any doubt as to safety or correct use of equipment, prudent questions to the instructor regarding these issues does not preclude competent, proficient or masterful use of apparatus and materials. (In other words....always ask questions if there is any concern for safety)
• always takes into account safety issues.
• is methodical and not rushed when using equipment and apparatus.
• requires minimal supervision (note; labs with safety issues must always be supervised)
• follows instructions accurately

• can adapt to new circumstances
• pays attention to detail
• may act as a mentor to peers
