2- DRAWINGS

Level 1

• There should be a sketch of each of the main parts.

Level 2

• There must be a drawing of all parts.
• These drawings can be done quickly, the key is to have all the important information and have a complete set of drawings. 

Level 3

• These drawing should be to scale and completed on CAD
• For smaller projects all of the drawings must be completed, for larger projects the main make items should be completed as a minimum. See your instructor if you have a very large project which may preclude making cad drawings of all parts.
• All drawings should have the standard title block and border.

Level 4

• Orthographic part drawings should be compiled into assembly drawings which match the bill of material structure.

PICTORIAL (VIRTUAL MODELS)

Level 1

• Students should create a quick 3 space drawing which will estimate the overall size of the project and pass this drawing onto the overall project 3 space space claim.
• This drawing normally consists of cubes or simple geometric shapes allocating the total space of the project.

Level 2

• Each of the main parts of the project should be drawn in 3 space and passed onto the overall 3 space drawing.
• At this stage details of each of the main parts need not be delineated but each of the main parts should be distinguishable. Each part should be created using simple geometric shapes.

Level 3

• Details of the project should be completed in 3 space CAD.

Level 4

• The student should provide sufficient CAD for incorporation into the final 3 space CAD model of the overall project.
• The student should work to support the inclusion of this into the final drawing. (or include it themselves)
