Test the Programmer

• In order to test you Microcontroller Programmer you will need to plug it into the serial port of a computer and install a microcontroller in the correct orientation in the socket.
• Next download these programs into a directory on the server.
  • LED1.hex
  • LED2.hex
  • If this doesn't work try LED1, LED2 and unzip the files
• Run ICProg and under file open either LED1.hex or LED2.hex. ICprog is the program which will take the code that you want to put in the microcontroller and
  • The settings should look like this;

• If there are difficulties with the settings see your instructor.
• Under Command Menu Select "Program All"
• It should return

• If not see your instructor.
• Build the circuit on a breadboard and see if the LED Flashes.
