Developing and Completing the Logo

• Step 1
  • Develop a series of phonetic and abstract logo sketches using
    • pencil, hard , soft
    • felt tip marker
    • consider the use of mirrors and/or lens for at least one sketch
    • consider make several drafts, try different media
• Step 2
  • Develop a pictogram logo using
    • scissors and card
    • glue stick
• Step 3
  • Develop a symbolic logo using a pixel based graphics program - Adobe Photoshop Elements
• Step 4
  • Develop a phonetic - abstract logo using a vector based program - Vectorworks
• Step 5
  • scan a logo image and print out if not already done in a previous step
• Step 6
  • Create at least 3 distinct ideas and choose the best idea. Develop the best idea by improving it, integrating other ideas into it , etc.

• Choose your best idea(s) and make final copy in a vector based program - vectorworks
• Step 7
  • download this Vectorworks Template and add Your Logo to the title block
  • Print the template
• Step 8
  • Word process a brief statement explaining the meaning of the logo.
