Project Build a Hexapod Robot
Introduction
Assignment
There are a number of projects that will be introduced at the
beginning of this robotics unit. The projects will be new designs or
improvements to existing designs. By completing these projects you
will be participating in the design process. Students must
participate in the projects alone or in groups in such a way that
each student completes the following;
- A - Each student must complete an engineering drawing of a
fabricated part or create an assembly drawing.
- B - Fabricate a part.
- C - Inspect a part and hand in an inspection report.
- D - Assemble an assembly or sub assembly
- E - Create a 3-Space rendering
Part A - Each Student to Create Engineering Drawing for a
Fabricated Part or Creating An Assembly Drawing
- Fabricated Part Drawing
- Create a sketch or have it given from your instructor.
- Take out a part number for the drawing.
- Template for CAD
Drawing
- Create an orthographic dimensioned cad drawing or a part.
(three view)
- complete correct information on title block layer
- add new layer called construction lines and complete
correct construction lines
- complete part on drawing layer
- print title block and drawing layer
- have it checked by instructor
- After corrections are made print final copy to hand in as
well as hand in an electronic copy to the appropriate folder on
the central server.
- the file name of the drawing should be its part
(drawing) number .mcd

3-space
- add the purchased components
- render in artlantis
