Create a Schedule for the Robot Project 

Use a program called Plan Bee to create a Gant Chart and a PERT Chart for the Robot Project.

You will need to complete the following steps;

1. Adjust the Calander to include the correct start date and specify working days.
2. Enter a list of activities required to complete the project.
3. Create precidence and duration for each activity.
4. Create and Print the Gant Chart and PERT Chart

You may consider the activities in the list of generic activities below to come up with a list which is appropriate for your project.

Generic List of Project Activities

This list is divided into four groups. It would be a good idea at this stage to do the same. These are suggestions of activities which may be applicable to your project. You will have to redefine or modify these activites to suite your particular project.

Project Definition and Planning Activities

Design Activities

The design activity usually culminates with a milestone called the Preliminary Design Review where each design is presented. At a minimum a whole series of sketches accompanied by a bill of material will be requied at the design review.

Procurement Activities

• List parts to purchase
• list parts to build
• recieve purchased parts
• procure raw material for fabrication

Construction Activities

• make a process plan for fabrication (flow chart)
• fabricate parts
• inspect parts
• assemble
• install

Construction and preliminary documentation activities will culminate in a milestone called the Final Design Review.

Documentation Activities

• create preliminary drawings (sketches) for each part
• have part numbers assigned for each part
• get the drawing template
• draw orthographic drawing(s)
• dimension orthographic drawing(s)
• draw pictorial drawing(s)
