For assembled parts in the BOM; (e.g.. subassemblies)
Under "ITEM" list the assembled part as per the item
number indicated on the drawing.
Under "QTY" put the number of assemblies used.
Under "DRWG PART NUMBER" put the assembled parts
part number and link it to the parts BOM.
Under "DESCRIPTION" put the assembled parts
title.
Under "DRAWING / SPECIFICATION / MATERIAL / VENDOR PART
NUMBER" put the part number and link it to the cad drawing
if available.
For parts fabricated from raw material in the BOM; (e.g..
parts fabricated from aluminum)
Under "ITEM" there will typically be only one
item.
Under "QTY" put the size or length of material that
needs to be procured to fabricate the part.
Under "DRWG PART NUMBER" put the part number or
catalogue number from a vendor in which to order the raw
material.
Under "DESCRIPTION" put the complete description of
the raw material.
Under "DRAWING / SPECIFICATION / MATERIAL / VENDOR PART
NUMBER" put a link to the web site of the supplier or
reference purchasing information about the supplier.
For parts fabricated from raw material in the BOM; (e.g.
hardware like nuts and bolts or purchased assemblies like motors)
Under "ITEM" list the purchased part as per the item
number indicated on the drawing.
Under "QTY" put the number of purchased parts
used.
Under "DRWG PART NUMBER" put the part number or
catalogue number from a vendor in which to order the purchased
part.
Under "DESCRIPTION" put the complete description
purchased part.
Under "DRAWING / SPECIFICATION / MATERIAL / VENDOR PART
NUMBER" put a link to the web site of the supplier or
reference purchasing information about the supplier.
change the document title from '"tdj20056_0000" but substitute
20056 for the actual year the drawing was started and substitute
0000 for the part number in sequence as assigned from the
list.
change the heading on this page from "TDJ20056_0000 - TITLE
FOR PART" to reflect the actual part number above and the
actual title for the BOM.
save as "tdj20056_0000.htm" but again substitute 20056 for the
actual year the drawing was started and substitute 0000 for the
part number in sequence.
