Title: Investigation of Static Coefficient of Friction
1.0 Purpose: The Purpose of this lab is; to determine experimentally the static coefficient of friction between two known materials and to investigate whether weight effects the static coefficient of friction
2.0 Question: Does the weight of an object effect the static coefficient of friction between two objects?
You are required to design and conduct an experiment to determine the answer to the question.
Assessment Emphasis: Lab Write Up Format
Students may work in pairs, but must each hand in their own lab report.
