Unit Description
This unit focuses on the characteristics and skills of successful business people. Students investigate both intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial opportunities in business today. They look at how enterprising people become successful within the organizations that employ them. Students also look at examples of entrepreneurs and examine what helped them and their venture become successful. Students investigate entrepreneurs in both their local and surrounding communities and evaluate their contribution to the economy.
Readings
All readings are assigned as either in-class or homework and should be completed before the subsequent class unless otherwise announced. Whenever possible, students should create their own study notes pertaining to the main materials mentioned in the readings. All information found within assigned readings are used as material for unit tests and final examinations.
