Reporting Live from …
In Groups of 4 you will script and prepare a news report
that takes the viewer from the desk to a minimum of 2 different locations.
- Discussion
should take place between the desk announcer and the on location reporter.
- All 4
members must appear in the video and script and edit their own part.
- A
storyboard must be prepared to show camera angles and position – matched
with the script. (See example –
start with a zoom in on reporter, zoom out and pan to environment as the
reporter discusses the mayhem occurring behind him. Move back to reporter
and have discussion with desk reporter.
Zoom in to reporter to conclude and pan over to weather for 2
seconds on back to desk segment)
- All 4
parts must be joined together to form one video – there should be clean
transitions between segments.
- The
locations must contain video behind and the reporters must be
green-screened to fit the environment.
Props and clothing should match the environment the reporter is
in. For example – use a fan to blow
hair in a windy environment, include an umbrella if it is raining.
- An
animated opening title sequence and closing credits should be added –
include music in this part
