AWC20 Ceramics Grade 10
Overview:
This open level course in Ceramics provides students with practical pottery skill including hand building, wheel work, glazing and firing. The development of pottery throughout history is studied and provides a context for the production of student portfolios. Students will learn to document their work using available technology. Theory exercises and studio assignments will allow students to discover the relationship between ceramics and other subjects, specifically Science. Students are encouraged to develop their own imagery using sketchbook studies and proposal drawings. Special emphasis is placed on the organization of supplies and maintenance of the studio space
